HELLGAME

uh let's see. More work on the twine game. A lot of it was bugfixes for the subscriber-only release on patreon, early in the week, but I did get some more scenes written. This week is when I officially hit the 100k words total, though like I said last week, there's a lotttt more left to write after this. Mostly sex scenes. I'm gonna be trying to kinda blitz through doing a lot of the writing now, since... at this point it's mostly just sex scene after sex scene, all of them outlined and put in place. We'll see how all that goes.

• Whoops fixed some early-game broken logic that made progression impossible
• Restructured some of the survey index code and also fixed some other progression bugs
• Added a dump savedata link to try to diagnose busted logic sometimes
• Fixed some busted code in the sex storage code
• Fixed some busted code during the Brulvundojn sex scenes
• Wrote the wandering sire anal sex scene (~2000 words)
• Wrote most of the recon anal sex scene (mutated dick version only, including knotting part) (~2400 words)

Also I haven't been mentioning hell game stuff much, but I've been taking peeks at its code and doing different kinds of infrastructure work. Not an awful lot to say about that yet.

Worked on the twine game this week; did some hell game concept stuff.

• Wrote the Zhalk reward bj scene (~1800 words)
• Wrote the opening to the munitions/rook threesome scene (~400 words)
• Changed some code so that certain state values (workshop recipes, random scenes, sex data, mutation values, etc) should be correctly set regardless of which version of the game your state is from (hopefully)
• Wrote the facial branch for the munitions/rook threesome scene (~3300 words)
• Coded up the absolute basics of the recon exile sequence
• Wrote a bunch of different descriptions for the wandering human/beast pair based on their pregnancy state after you deliver their eggs
• Wrote the rook initial bj sex scene (~1700 words)
• Properly set up the city pitstop random event roller
• Wrote the initial part of a random pitstop sex scene with a big monk (~1100 words)
• Added a basic 'bonus' tf (furry hands and feet) if you have sex with Brulvundojn a bunch

So all-in-all I'd call that attempt to write more a partial success. Got somewhere between 9,000 and 14,000 words written this week, depending on how you count 'this week' and 'written', which I think is pretty good. If I can keep up this kind of pace then yeah hopefully it'll be possible for me to have this twine game finished before the end of the year. Maybe. It's currently at just under 100,000 words total, which is... a lot and also not that many, given how many scenes are still totally unwritten. But making good progress.

Uhhh let's see. Did more twine game writing:

• wrote the intro to the Jinn pregnancy / egg transfer scene
• Wrote the initial Jinn description and some basic conversation options
• Wrote the initial Brulvundojn-after-hauling-tanker knotting sex scene (~3400 words)
• Fixed a bug where the various queued full-body tfs just wouldn't trigger ever. whoops.
• Finished the sire oral sex scene (like +1k words roughly) and outlined some brief interstitial scenes there

The main thing to mention here is that I'd definitely like to finish this game by the end of the year, and at my current pace that's definitely not happening, so I'm gonna try some things to see if I can in fact pick up the pace some. We'll see how that's gone next week.

This week I actually worked entirely on hell game stuff. So that was nice; feeling a lot better about it now after this break. That being said, there's still a lot of work left to do before the new stuff is in any condition to show off. That kind of makes this a short update post, but, oh well.

Next week probably gonna try to get more (read: anything) done on locust game stuff. That'ssss about it.

• Restructured the return-to-village-with-wreck sequence and got scene stubs covering all branches in place
• Switched it back so you have to actually do all six of the survey actions, not just 5 out of 6
• Coded up a few of the leader & 2ic talk scenes
• Did the last bit of coding for the Khru/Astau threesome, so all scene stubs are in place there
• Wrote one of the Khru fisting scenes (~900 words)
• Coded up the sex scene stubs for the piercing assistant in the city

I've definitely been forcing myself to stick to the outline, and not add huge swaths of new content. Outlining is easy so it's very tempting to keep going, and only later have to deal with the "actually just this one sequence could easily be another 10k words to write" part. I'd like to have this done in a reasonable amount of time, so I've mostly been filling out and writing up existing content, but there arethree or four side sequences I'd like to add if I get the time. But I should really only think about that after I've got a basic playthrough fully written.

Still working on the locust game. Worked-on checklist:

• Coded up the decision choices for the pre-pregnant birthing trip camp scenes
• Wrote the munitions exile bj/facefuck sex scene (~2400 words)
• f&r locust -> ĝheist b/c this should be technically not infringing copyright V:
• Cleaned up some very early-game gameplay/narration sequences
• Wrote one of the Brulvundojn sex scenes (~1300 words)
• Recoded rook's important talk scenes (the ones potentially leading to sex, mostly) so they work again
• Outlined & mostly coded recon's important talk scenes
• Coded up another recon sex scene

Not a whole lot to really say about stuff at this point, really. The total word count of the locust game is at about 80k words, which is pretty substantial, even if a chunk of that is code. I really need to figure out an actual name for the game, too. But really at this point it's mostly just... writing all the stuff I outlined, and coding up the stuff that's not fully-coded yet. It's been much easier working on something that's smaller and more self-contained than the whole sprawling mess of hell game.

Uh let's see. Working on the twine game again.

• Outlined and coded up nine(!) sex sequences w/ the recon human

Not the most done this week, but still making progress. I've also been working on a side project about random demon generation (if you recall, I posted once about it a few months ago); there's some sample output over here, link good for a week. This... it's hard to say for sure whether that will ever end up in hell game at any point, but it definitely could. Not entirely sure how I'd feel about making sex scenes that would be that procedural. But along with the new quest stuff I'm working on, I would like to bring in some more mechanical procedural elements, so something like that might end up in there at some point

Oof okay sorry about the late update.

Mostly what working on hell game stuff for a week taught me was that I'm not really ready to get back to it and I should really stop forcing myself to revisit it with deadlines and content goals in mind. I'll probably go quiet about it and just work on it when I feel like it, uh you know, like I said I was going to do but then didn't. Probably just noodle around on arbitrary things until I feel like actually working on something specific.

Anyway in twine game news:

• Coded up the worm monastery random sequences
• Also generalized the random selection code for the baths so that I can easily put together random sequences elsewhere
• Wrote the 2ic cave exile bj scene (~1400 words)
• Wrote the 2ic cave exile bj scene followup, knotted dick version (~2400 words)
• Wrote another bit of the wandering sire bj sex scene (~400 words)

Basically doing more writing and coding. I also posted another sneak peak on the patreon, probably the last one for a while, since I want people to be able to experience the full game as, you know, a new, completed thing, rather than seeing it come together piecemeal over however long it takes to finish.

This week: worked on the locust tf game, actually writing scenes finally. The plan at this point is to write prose for the pre-city segments while I outline and code up the city/post-city segment. But this week was basically all writing. Only around 5k words, which isn't a super impressive word count, but that covers uhhh the first Khru camp BJ scene, the Astau impreg scene, and the Jinn survey sex scene, as well as a few interstitial bits here and there.

That being said, I've been only really working on the hell game quest thing at the end of the week as an afterthought, and I would like to get back to work on it at some point sooner rather than later, so next week I'll work on finishing the quest planning, and maybe even try to get some of the scenes properly outlined. Hopefully this break has been long enough to properly clear my head.

Kind of got distracted this week so I didn't get a huge amount of stuff done. Here's the twine game changelog:

• there's a lot of fucking sex scenes in this
• Actually coded up the Jinn lightrot cave sex scene and has it set his pregnancy vars correctly
• Actually coded up some choice branches in the wandering human/beast pair sex scene
• Actually coded up some choice branches in the 2ic sex scenes

I was hoping on having the hell game quest stuff done this week, but, uhhh that didn't happen, oh well. Hopefully next week.
